Three Including Namal Rajapaksa Released On Bail Over Money Laundering Charges

UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa and the two others who were on remand custody over money laundering charges were released on strict bail conditions by Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris.

They were released on a cash bail of Rs 100,000 and four sureties each of Rs 10 million per each person.

They were also barred from foreign travel and were ordered not to make any statement, written or vocal, which could interfere with the investigations.

The three suspects were in remand custody over alleged money laundering amounting to Rs 45 million.
