No Need For Post Mortem On Sobhitha Thera's Death, Says Panel Of Experts

The five member panel of experts appointed to investigate into the death of Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera informed courts today that there is no need for a post mortem.

The investigation was done regarding a complaint by Uduwe Dhammaloka thera.

The panel, headed by Dr. Anil Jasinghe, said that it scrutinized medical reports of Sobitha Thera from 2011 and found nothing suspicious. Furthermore, the panel said that it is also satisfied with the management of his condition at the hospitals where he had undergone treatment.

The panel said that it agrees with the recommendation from Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore that no post mortem was necessary.
