"I Would Have Removed Wigneswaran" Mervyn Silva Hits Out At Govt Inaction

Former Minister Mervyn Silva said that he would have made sure Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran is removed from his post if he had been an MP.

Speaking to a local radio station, Silva said that no person can be a gentleman if he does not know the history of the country.

Silva was commenting on the recent protest action led by Wigneswaran, which demanded an end to "Sinhalese colonization" and the removal of Buddhist temples from the north.
