Thajudeen Murder: Court Permits DNA Analysis For Remains Found At SAITM

Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris permitted the CID to take necessary steps to conduct DNA tests on 26 skeletal remains found at SAITM, Malabe, recently.

The CID raided the SAITM after it was revealed that the missing body parts of the murdered rugger player Wasim Thajudeen had been transferred there.

The CID took 19 thigh bone parts and seven chest bone parts in to custody. The Attorney General today told court that the CID want to conduct the DNA testing on them. However, they are also hampered by the cost factor, it was also said.
