Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission Expect More Rights From New Constitution

Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission points out the need to include economic, social and cultural rights of the people in the proposed new constitution. 

The President should lead the matter and Prime Minister and the members of the constitutional council should make their maximum contribution for this purpose. The Human rights commission presented a series of proposals to the committee that gathered public views and proposals on constitutional reforms in last March. The entire world sis looking at Sri Lanka with great enthusiasm how the constitutional reform are taking place. The international community expect to establish democratic rule and securing human rights in the country. 

The HR commission says that Sri Lanka should set an example to the other countries as well by preparing an effective constitution.
