India Renovates Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Library In Sri Palee College, Horana

Mr. Y.K. Sinha, High Commissioner of India today inaugurated the Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Library and Resource Centre in Sri Palee College, Horana, renovated by the Government of India at a total cost of SLR 38 million. The project was implemented in close consultation with the Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka.

The Government of India has renovated the library building, which was in a dilapidated state, and upgraded it into a reference library with modern facilities. The Government of India has also built an audio-visual lab, improved the external landscape and built approach roads inside the school premises.

The project will provide a conducive learning environment for the students of Sri Palee College, as well as a reading space for the people who visit the College.
