The Jathika Hela Urumaya said that the 'Joint Opposition' was responsible for the recent strike and disturbances against the increase of traffic fines.

Party Spokesman Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe also said that even Western Provincial Members were behind the disturbances.

The party also said that it was prepared to give legal assistance to persons who were attacked and injured during the disturbances.
