Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal Swarnalatha Perera invited Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to visit the South Asian island nation to mark the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between the two countries in 2017 according to The Himalayan Times.
During a meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister in Singha Durbar of Kathmandu on Monday, PM Dahal said that Nepal and Sri Lanka share unity and old cultural and religious relations.
Thanking Sri Lanka for the support it had provided in post-earthquake reconstruction in Nepal, Dahal expressed his interest to work together for development and prosperity of SAARC and South Asian regions, according to a statement issued by the PM’s Secretariat.
