Ministry of Finance says there is a significant growth in tax income this year. The tax income has increased up to 19.6 billion rupees during the first nine months of the year. 

It is a growth of a 27 percent when compared to the same period last year. The payee tax has also increased up to 2.1 billion rupees during this period by 8 percent. 

The tax income has increased mainly due to the government's pragmatic measures taken to upgrade tax management.
