Young Nalandian Wins Silver At International Conference of Young Scientists

Fifteen-year-old Nalandian Rakindhu Wickremeratne has won silver at the week-long International Conference of Young Scientists, held in Stuttgart, Germany.

At the Conference was attended by over 300 participants from 40 countries, Rakindhu won silver for his entry relating to providing solutions for asthma attacks.

Rakindhu, who was the youngest participant at the International Conference of Young Scientists, is also winner of the Best Young Scientist award by the National Young Scientists Foundation 2016/2017, in Sri Lanka.

The International Conference of Young Scientist or ICYS is the unofficial world championship of research papers in several scientific disciplines for secondary school students.

ICYS is a member of World Federation of Physics Competitions.
