President's Chief Of Staff Hemasiri Fernando Becomes New Chairman Of BOI

President's Chief of Staff Hemasiri Fernando has been appointed the new Chairman of the Board of Investments. 

Fernando replaces Dumindra Ratnayake who resigned from his post as the BOI Chief, last week. 

Fernando last week resigned from his post as the Chairman of People's Bank. 

This is the fourth high-profile position given to Fernando, a veteran administrator, by the current government. 

He also worked as the Chairman of the Independent Television Network (ITN) in 2016.
