Explosives Recovered At Kattankudy Beach: A Close Associate Of Easter Sunday Attackers Arrested In Colombo with Rs. 8 Million In Cash

Explosives buried by extremist terrorists who blasted themselves at a safe house in Saindamardu have been recovered by the Police at the Kattankudy beach, Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.

It is believed that the extremists have buried these explosives for future attacks, defence sources said. Extensive search operations were conducted in the Kattankudy area by defence forces today as well.

Meanwhile, the Police Media Spokesman also added that a person by the name of Buhari Mohammed Rafique, in Maradana, with Rs. 8 million in cash.

He is suspected to be a close associate of the terrorists who carried out the Easter Sunday explosions.
