Shots Fired At Convoy Of Buses Carrying Muslim Voters In Thanthirimale: No Casualties Reported

The Centre for Monitoring Election Violence (CMEV) confirmed that shots were fired at a convoy of buses carrying Muslim voters in Thanthirimalai, Anuradhapura.

Voters were also obstructed with burnt tires and pelted with stones, CMEV said.

However, no casualties have so far been reported due to the incient. The attack took place hours before the voting began this morning.

Suspects are yet to be arrested by the Police.
