Heavy Rainfall Expected in Three Provinces, Including Western

 

The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather advisory indicating that several provinces in Sri Lanka will experience heavy rainfall. According to the department, several spells of showers are expected in the Eastern, Uva, North-central, and Northern provinces. Additionally, showers or thundershowers are forecasted to occur in various parts of the island during the afternoon or at night.

Moreover, residents of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western Provinces should brace for fairly heavy showers, with rainfall expected to exceed 50mm in some areas. In the morning, misty conditions are anticipated in certain locations in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
