Deputy and Assistant Election Commissioners are set to convene in Colombo as announced by the Chairman of the Election Commission, R.M.A.L. Rathnayake.
Their gathering, scheduled for Wednesday, aims to conduct a three-day workshop focused on enhancing awareness and implementation of the Regulation of Election Expenditure Act ahead of the forthcoming elections. To bolster their efforts, the commission plans to enlist the expertise of an international specialist in election expenditure regulation.
With the National Election Commission signaling the imminent announcement of the Presidential Election, slated to occur between September 17th and October 17th, preparations are underway to ensure a smooth electoral process.
