A 17-year-old teenage girl is recovering in the hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to the neck in Giritale, Minneriya.
The incident occurred last night in the Yaya 04 area while the girl was visiting a relative's house with her family. Authorities are investigating the shooting, and as of now, no suspects have been identified. The injured girl is receiving medical care at Polonnaruwa Hospital.
