Former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage Acquitted in Money Laundering Case

Former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has been acquitted of money laundering charges by the Colombo High Court.
The case, filed by the Attorney General, alleged that Aluthgamage failed to declare the source of funds used to purchase a luxury house in Colombo.

The house, valued at Rs. 27.4 million, was acquired during his tenure as a minister. Today's ruling marks the conclusion of the legal proceedings against him in this matter.
