Today, on May 6th, the GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2023 (2024) kicked off at 3,527 examination centers scattered throughout Sri Lanka.
A notable 452,979 students are partaking in these examinations, scheduled to wrap up on May 15, 2024. Among the candidates, 387,648 are from schools, while 65,331 are private candidates.
The Commissioner General of Examinations has stressed the importance of punctuality, urging all students to arrive at their respective centers thirty minutes before the exam's commencement.
Additionally, students have been reminded to bring along their admission cards and National Identity Cards (NIC) as prerequisites for sitting the exams.
