Emirates Introduces A350 Network with Sri Lanka Among First Destinations

Emirates has unveiled its plan to introduce the A350 aircraft into its fleet, with Sri Lanka among the initial destinations set to experience the state-of-the-art aircraft. Commencing service in September 2024, the A350 will operate on Emirates’ fourth daily service to Colombo, EK654/655, starting January 1, 2025.

The airline anticipates the addition of 10 new A350s by March 2025, earmarking them for nine destinations. These aircraft, equipped with three cabin classes including next-generation Business Class and Premium Economy, will cater primarily to short to medium-haul routes.

Emirates aims to enhance customer experience by offering its acclaimed Premium Economy product and next-generation Business Class cabins on select routes across the Middle East, GCC, West Asia, and Europe.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, expressed excitement about the A350's potential to revolutionize regional travel, emphasizing its efficiency and flexibility.

The A350 will initially serve cities in the Middle East/GCC, West Asia, and Europe, with more destinations to be announced as new aircraft join the fleet. Tickets for A350 flights are now available for booking on Emirates' official channels.

Passengers can expect a spacious and tranquil cabin, along with features designed to reduce fatigue and jet lag. Emirates has 65 A350-900s on order, aligning with Dubai's economic agenda to bolster its foreign trade connections over the next decade.
