UPFA MPs To Take Part In Kurunegala Rally After Being Granted Bail

The UPFA MPs who appeared at Colombo Magistrate Courts in the morning are traveling to Kurunegala to attend the pro-Mahinda Rajapaksa rally, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila told Asian Mirror a short while ago.

He added that he is also taking part in the rally. PHU is one of the four parties organizing the rallies.

Colombo Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya issued notice to 27 individuals including several Buddhist monks, 10 UPFA MPs and several Provincial Council members on charges of contempt of court. On April 23, they took part in a protest near the Bribery Commission, defying a court order against protests at the site.
