UPFA Member To Be Appointed PM Following No-Confidence Motion

Mahajana Eksath Peramuna leader Dinesh Gunawardena said the opposition will have a UPFA member appointed as Prime Minister before the dissolution of the Parliament.

Speaking at a press conference at Abhayaramaya Temple in Colombo today, Gunawardena said that opposition will hand over a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister in the near future.

He expressed hope that this motion will be taken for debate unlike the earlier ones.

Gunawardena also said that the name of the prospective Prime Minister will be revealed if President Maithripala Sirisena agrees to the proposal to appoint a Prime Minister from the UPFA.

Meanwhile, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila stated that the UPFA can easily win the next election.
