Maria Cleared By Lankan Authorities

The ship named Maria, which brought supplies to Litro Gas company,  has been cleared by Colombo Harbour authorities,  Sri Lanka Navy and the Customs Department.
 
There were media reports over the past few days raising concerns over the ship,  alleging its entry into Sri Lankan waters was illegal. Following media reports, authorities conducted an inquiry and concluded there was nothing wrong with the ship and it's operation was legal.
 
Gas tanker ‘Maria’ was in Sri Lankan waters on June 30, bringing supplies to Litro Gas (Pvt) Ltd. A spokesman of the Litro Gas company said the company which handled the shipment was a recognised supplier of Litro Gas and it maintained healthy relations with the company.  He said recent media reports pertaining to Maria ship were completely baseless.
