Amidst speculations that e few more SLFP Parliamentarians would cross over to the UNP over UPFA nominations controversy involving Mahinda Rajapaksa, several SLFP politicians who supported Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential election met former President Chadrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga for a special discussion this afternoon.

Ministers Arjuna Ranatunga, Duminda Dissanayake and M.K.D.S. Gunawardena took part  in the discussion held at the former President's personal residence in Colombo 07.

During the discussion, SLFP sources said, they had discussed action they could take against the decision to give the UPFA nominations to the former President.

The development took place a day after former UPFA Parliamentarian S.B. Navinne crossed over to the UNP to contest the election. Speaking to reporters in Kurunagala today, Navinne, a long-standing SLFP stalwart, said he would do his best to ensure the victory of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
