Veteran academic Professor S.R.D. Rosa has been appointed the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Authority.

Rosa has worked extensively in the field of atomic energy and has also worked as a director of the same institution.

He has also authored a number of books to support students sitting for the Advanced Level examination in science and maths streams.

He is a professor attached to the University of Colombo.
