Voting For UPFA Will Be Pointless: Wickremesinghe

UNP leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that a vote for the UPFA is a wasted vote and it will be pointless to vote for that party in the upcoming election.

Speaking at a public meeting at Baddegama, he said that the UPFA has lost direction. It made President Sirisena its Chairman and embraced ‘Good Governance’. However, now it has once again embraced ‘Mahinda Chinthanaya’ while keeping on Sirisena as Chairman, Wickremesinghe said.

He argued that the party has no idea of its future. If the UPFA does not have an idea of the future of the party, it is unlikely that it has an idea of the future of the country, Wickremesinghe said.

The Prime Minister added that in contrast to the UPFA, the UNP has a program to run the country.
