December 02, 2015

Thirteen doctors who have not been registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council treat patients at the Neville Fernando Hospital, Malabe, the Inter University Students' Federation alleged, in a complaint lodged at the Police Headquarters.

IUSF Convener Lahiru Weerasekara said that those doctors include the doctor who treated Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera when he was in the hospital.

A medical doctor treating patients at a hospital should renew his or her registration every five years.
