December 03, 2015

The Government Medical Officers' Association said that it will call off its trade union action at 8.00 am tomorrow.

This was announced following the government's decision to allow the vehicle permit system once again, under revised conditions.

Government hospitals around the island came to a standstill today due to the strike.

Meanwhile, the other associations who joined the trade union action also called off their actions.
