The government today announced concessions to vehicle owners by reducing a number of fees.

Accordingly, vehicle emission test fee will be reduced to Rs. 1500 as an interim measure. The annual revenue licensing fee is reduced from 25% to 15%.

Lease valuation fee was set at Rs. 5000 for motor cars and Rs. 3000 for three wheelers and motorbikes.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe made these announcements during his special address to parliament today.
