Western Province Provincial Council budget, including the expenditure heads of the Health Ministry, was approved unanimously today at a special session convened by the Chief Minister.

Expenditure heads under former PC Minister Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe of Jathika Hela Urumaya was voted down at the last budget debate recently. His ministries were taken over by Chief Minister Isura Devapriya on Wednesday.

Thereafter, the council met today to adopt the budget.

However, PC Members of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and Jathika Hela Urumaya were not present.
