Two policemen were injured and hospitalized following a shooting near Bulugaha Junction, Dalugama, Kelaniya, on the Colombo-Kandy main road.

According to police a traffic collision involving a car and a lorry had occurred at Bulugaha Junction this afternoon at around 3.00pm today. Both parties involved were discussing to resolve the matter when an unidentified gunman had arrived and opened fire at the car driver.

The driver immediately got fled while two traffic policemen who had arrived at the scene were injured.

They were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
