Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations John Seneviratne said that the bill introducing a Rs 2500 salary increment to the private sector will be presented to Parliament this month.

Speaking at an event in his ministry, Seneviratne also said that a bill to set the minimum salary at Rs 10,000 will also be presented.

He expected that the bills would be approved within the month.
