Watareka Vijitha Thera Calls For 'Burning' Of National Flag

Nava Sama Samaja Party Colombo District candidate Watareka Vijitha Thera lashed out at the National Flag of Sri Lanka, calling it to be burned.
 
Speaking at the release of the election manifesto of the NSSP in Colombo yesterday, Vijitha Thera said that the flag has reserved 75 percent for the Sinhalese community. The lion and four Bo leaves have been included in the flag to cover a large area, he added.
 
Watareka Vijitha Thera is a former member of the Mahiyangana Pradeshiya Sabha. He was also the Convener of Jathika Bala Sena.
 
Vijitha Thera also said that both Buddhism and Marxism are two similar world views.
