Police said that they will carry out road duties during the festival days to apprehend drunk drivers and warned the public not to drive vehicles under the influence of alcohol.

Within a 24 hour period ending earlier today, the police have been able to arrest 219 drunk drivers island-wide. The majority, numbering 126, were motorcyclists.
