Four inmates were injured when a prison bus toppled in Mannar yesterday while transporting eight inmates from Mannar to Vavuniya.

The bus veered off the road and toppled due to the slippery condition of the road. The driver was unable to control the bus.

Residents of the area rushed to the scene of the accident and helped the injured to be hospitalized.
