Joint Opposition Losing Crowds, Says Amaraweera

The crowds at Joint Opposition rallies are getting less with time as indicated by the crowds at the Ratnapura rally yesterday, UPFA General Secretary and Minister of Fisheries Mahinda Amaraweera said.

Speaking to local media, Amaraweera said that despite the rally, there was no reason for disciplinary action.

He pointed out that no one has broken away from the party and therefore there were no grounds for disciplinary action.

There are no need to create reasons and punish people, he added.

The Joint Opposition rally in Ratnapura was held with the participation of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
