The Ministry of Finance in Sri Lanka has reassured the public of the timely release of funds designated for the upcoming presidential election.With a budget allocation of 10 billion rupees, the ministry has affirmed its commitment to disburse the funds as scheduled, pending the request from the Election Commission.

The Election Commission, gearing up for the official announcement, plans to declare the presidential election between late-July and early August, marking the formal beginning of the election season. Chairman R. M. A. L Ratnayake of the National Election Commission has confirmed that the presidential election will be held between September 17 and October 17.
