UNP Wants Election Before Its 'Tiger Spots' Become Visible: Manusha Nanayakkara

UPFA MP Manusha Nanayakkara stated that the UNP is demanding an early dissolution of the Parliament since the ‘tiger spots’ within the UNP have started to appear in public.

He made this statement in response to the request by the UNP Working Committee that the parliament should be dissolved immediately.

Nanayakkara pointed out that Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera had a discussion with the pro-LTTE diaspora recently. The UNP is trying to give back life to the dead tiger with the aid of foreign sympathizers of the LTTE, Nanayakkara claimed.

The UNP thinks it is wise to go for an election before its real self becomes public knowledge, he also claimed.

Meanwhile, the UNP has realized that the economy is falling. Commodity prices are increasing. Furthermore, the corruption of the new UNP government is also becoming public knowledge. The UNP thinks it is best to go for an election before its popularity falls even lower, Nanayakkara said.
